A trip to Haripura Dam

We were planning for a trip as all of us were gathering after almost 16 years for Rakshabandhan. Initially the plan was to visit Nainital or Corbett but we couldn't finalize the destination. After multiple discussions we decided to go to Bhimtal. But at the last moment due to some family emergency we have to drop that plan as well. Since everyone was around and kids were excited, we decided to go for a quick outing to Haripura Dam, Gulabhoj.

It was located about 40 Kms from Haldwani, an hour trip. The road is really good and we enjoyed the journey. The main attraction there was the dam with many boating options. The charges were around Rs. 250 each for about 10 minutes ride.
